Stephen Bennion about "Self-Realization"
This book excited me
I found myself pulled between wanting to push ahead quickly with the unfolding argument and holding back to savour some fresh way of looking at things. I liked the emphasis on the present participle, on self-realising rather than self-realised, and on discovering rather than choosing what we really care about. You led me, a tiro philosopher, so patiently through the ideas of those who have influenced your own thinking that I felt enriched by the journey.
The lucidity of style and structure made the book, like a good wine, something both pleasurable and satisfying.
