For my history book ."port, r read a biography catled
Unforgotten by Franz Thaler. This is about an Italian man who
refuses to be drafted into the Nazi army. He hides from the
army in the mountains and then gets caught and is put in
Dachau, a concentration camp. He is a part of the ,,hidden,,
holocaust. He is stilt alive today and he is and was very
b rave .
Rather than putt'ing them in gas chambers tike the Jews,
Tahter (+ others) was put to work and then beaten when he did
something wrong: 6"You shirker, you wanted to dodge work! ' And
he immediately §tarted to slap me,, (Thaler 90).,rt seems as if
the Nazis were mad at him for no reason, but everything had to
be in order. They had rules and when the rules werenrt
foltowed, there would be consequences.
