Treatment Intervals

Acute nausea:
once daily or every other day

Chronic nausea
, also nausea due to chemotherapy: 2–3 times weekly
Treatment Course and Prognosis
■
Acute nausea:
generally symptoms disappear after one or a few days
■
Chronic nausea:
2–4 weeks until symptoms disappear
■
Nausea with an underlying malignancy or with chemotherapy:
generally significant
improvement after a few days
